Human improvement is from within outward. - James Anthony Froude

Howdy! There's a bit of improvement in my vision, since before I started the exercises. I just have to think about focusing more often. Whenever I focus on things far away it feels like my pupils are getting farther apart. It's a weird feeling.

I've decided, if my vision doesn't improve as much as I'm planning, by the end of this month. I will be trying extra exercises or new ones for the next month afterward.

I've a grand memory for forgetting. - Robert Louis Stevenson

Hey! I've been keeping up with my exercises so far. My eyes have been watering when I do the long distance part of the Outside Exercise. It seems like it's because of the amount of stress of working out the muscles. I've also noticed that the longer I focus on things, the clearer I can see it. Though it's a very slim amount, but one month of this might prove otherwise.

If you haven't noticed already, I've made the title of all my posts a quote from a famous person (the first one was a song from "The Sound Of Music"). I'm going to continue doing this and I'm going to try and make them pertain to the post. Telling you this, and seeing the title for this post, you should probably be wondering what I've forgotten. Well I've forgotten to mention, I'm not going to be using my glasses at all for the month. I actually haven't used them for the past 2 weeks or so. I'm going to add that to my post about the exercises. Hmm.. I've also forgotten to eat my carrot today. :P

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. - Winston Churchill

Hello! I started my exercises today. To know what exercises I'm talking about: look at the post right before this one. I'm going to try my best to keep up with them, with all the things in my life. I have numerous things going on right now, like a lot of school, ballet, rehearsals for Swan Lake, and I'm trying to start selling things I'm knitting, through a store. I'm not sure how well that will turn out.

Anyway, away from my personal life. I never told y'all much about my eyes. Here's a bit of info, so you can get a mental picture of my before, before y'all get my after. I do have glasses for my nearsighted vision, but I don't have contacts. The main reason I haven't told y'all this yet, is because I don't remember my prescription. It was like 30/40 or something like that. Each one of my eyes has a different prescription. I think my left eye is better than my right. It's bad enough that I need glasses. I'm going to give y'all a basic estimate of my vision. When I stop being able to read letters an inch long is ruffly 7 and a half feet away. It gets fuzzy. My brother could read it almost 18 or 20 feet away (I didn't measure that one). Oh and if you care my eye color is Hazel.

I'm going to try and find out my prescription from my eye doctor. I'll keep y'all posted. Let me know if there's any more info y'all want to know about my eyes. I would also like any more exercises that you think would be good to do.

It is theory that decides what can be observed. - Albert Einstein

We all know that our eyes have muscles. These muscles are what helps you to focus on objects in front of you and far away.  The muscles also help align are eyes to the correct shapes.  When a persons vision goes fuzzy, their eye's are becoming unaligned and loses the ability to focus properly. Well, the theory is, the muscles in our eyes are like any other muscle in our body.  Here's an analogy; bad vision is like if we had weak muscles in our neck so we couldn't support it, so it got all lazy (like lazy eye), it would sag and become unaligned. :) therefore, what I must do to fix my vision is exercise my eye muscles.

Here are my eye exercises I will do for the next month of testing (starting tomorrow):

The Outside Exercise: Once everyday and night (My mom got this one from an unknown online source)
For this exercise you focus on something close up, like at reading distance, for 3 minutes. then immediately you focus on something really far away, like 500 ft of distance, for another 3 minutes.

Relaxation Exercise: Everyday at lunch time (I found this one on a YouTube video. I'm not sure where now)
This one you just cover your eyes with the palm of your hands. you want to sort of cup your palms so you can look around at your palms. then you just relax your eyes and blink a lot to rejuvenate your eyes.

The Thumb Exercise: Everyday at breakfast and supper (I got this one from that same YouTube video ^^)
This one you stretch out your arm as far as possible, pull out your thumb and focus on you thumb for 30 seconds then focus through your thumb on what's behind it for another 30 seconds. Repeat 5 times.

Rejuvenation Exercise: All time everyday especially on the computer
Blink, blink and blink. When people get on the computer they stop blinking as much. It's bad.

I'm not going to be using my glasses for the whole month (I actually haven't been wearing them for past 2 weeks or so). I will also be eating a carrot every other day, because it's good for your eyes (the carrots do not improve vision).

Let's start at the very beginning! A very good place to start!

Hello Blogging world! I'm new to "blogging" and I don't really like writing, so this blog might be a bit sketchy. First I'm going to tell y'all a bit about myself. I'm 14 years old, almost 15 (3 months away!). I'm in love with God. He saved me through Jesus! I'm a Christian. :D My parents are divorced. =/ I still get to see them both. :D I've been home schooled my whole life. which this has lead me to be able to do my school at a faster pace (cause I'm smart ). :) So I'm graduating from high school 2 years early. Yes I'm a junior in high school. Of course, I can't forget to mention. I'm a Ballet dancer. I've been dancing since I was 9 (5 years) and I've been dancing on pointe since I was 11 ( 4 years). If you don't know what pointe is, just google it. :p I might talk about it later in my blog. If you want know more about me check out my profile. ----->

Now getting down to business. This blog is not about my ballet and life. It's about me fixing my vision (hints: the  title). I'm nearsighted. This means I can see up close, but not far away. My vision isn't really bad. Anyways this blog is about me testing a theory for fixing my vision.
